Each week we take a look beyond My Space, Facebook and YouTube to a social network that you may have not visited yet as well as uncover additional marketing opportunities.  Today we get ready for Christmas by looking at I Like Totally Love It a social network dedicated to shopping.

The community in this network can share products that they find cool, different, weird, etc.   Included with every item is a link to an online shop where it can be purchased.  The key is that you can rate the quality of other posters.  The more votes a product gets the further up the pages it moves.

Here’s how the site explains it:

Imagine that Alice sees something really cool, beautiful, weird, or interesting that money can buy, and she can’t keep herself from telling others about it. After Alice signs up, she can either use our handy bookmarklet, (more about bookmarklets, or she can click on ADD STUFF to add the product to iliketotallyloveit.com.

		So, Alice submits the product.
	Meanwhile, Bob is looking around for cool stuff to buy. On the UPCOMING page, he discovers the product that Alice has just submitted.
	Bob loves it! So he votes for it by clicking on the “I like totally love it” button. And so do Bob, Charlie, Victor and Jill.
		If enough people vote for Alice’s product, it’ll get promoted to the TOTALLY LOVED page, where it will get exposed to a much bigger audience. Now it will get even more votes. And Alice is happy that she shared the product she found with everyone.
