Social Media Marketing - HR Style

This blog has covered many social media marketing topics as they relate to marketing folks, but we do not want to leave our human resource professional friends out in the cold either. HR drives many marketing programs as it is important to attract the best candidates for open positions.

Social Media can be a driving force in the mix for HR professionals as well. Oftentimes, your targeted demographic is spending time on sites such as YouTube, Facebook, and My Space. Reaching your audience there can prove to be a more engaging experience.

Your company is so much more than a job description.  Social media will aloow you to present it in an effective manner that will position your company and its openings as an attractive option for job seekers.

Likewise, a candidate is more than keywords on a piece of paper.  Social media can create portals for them to open more up to you in the form of user generated content.  This content can truly describe a lot about a candidate and the experience can be fun for both the company and the job seeker.

And we haven’t even gotten into how games can be used as a recruiting strategy…
